What genre are you in?
What inspired the piece you submitted for emerge?
This short story was part of my application to TWS program, several generations of rewrites later. It’s the first in a series of narrative non-fiction short stories that I work on when not absorbed in rewrites on my first novel.
Where can we see more of your stuff?
At this time, I have none of my writing posted or published anywhere but look forward to making that a reality in 2014.
How has your writing process changed since starting TWS?
As a new writer, being part of TWS has been an invaluable experience. I don’t believe teaching writing is an easy thing to do. A largely intuitive process, writers must also become masters at self-criticism. Being part of Timothy Taylor’s very talented fiction group has provided many useful techniques for the future. The workshop feedback has given me great insight into the readers mind and enabled me to move forward with a greater sense of confidence.
